Last week, I swapped the treatment room for the bluebell laden footpaths and headed up Cam Peak for some fab views.
We had such a beautiful day for it!
As a McTimoney Chiropractor based in Stroud, I’m always telling my patients about the benefits of movement, but sometimes you need to practice what you preach!
The path up Cam peak gave spectacular views across the Severn Valley, making every step uphill worth the effort.
Walking is genuinely one of the best things you can do for your body.
It strengthens your spine, improves posture, and gets those joints moving without the impact of high-intensity exercise.
Plus, the mental health benefits are enormous – the stress just melts away when you’re surrounded by Gloucestershire’s gorgeous countryside.
From the summit, I could see all the way to Stroud’s rolling hills in one direction and back towards Dursley in the other.
Quite the reward for that steep climb.
So if you’re feeling a bit stiff or stressed, why not take a leaf out of my book?
The paths around Cam Peak suit all abilities, and your spine will thank you for it.
Sometimes the simplest treatments are right on our doorstep.
See you on the footpaths (or back in the clinic).
